1. Who is responsible for your data?
Omega Smart Store, whose full legal identity appears in the Legal notice, is the data controller for the shop. Privacy requests may be sent to: contact@omegasmartstore.cm.
This policy applies to the website, customer account, contact requests, orders, delivery follow-up, after-sales support and associated communications.
2. Data we collect
- Identity and contact data: name, telephone number, email and delivery address.
- Account and transaction data: order contents, amounts, invoices, delivery, returns, warranties and customer-service history.
- Payment data: selected channel, transaction reference and status. Omega Smart Store does not ask for or store your Mobile Money secret code.
- Technical and preference data: security logs, device or browser information, cart, favourites, comparison choices and consent preferences.
- Information you submit voluntarily through a form, review, attachment or support exchange.
3. Purposes and legal grounds
Data is used only for determined, explicit and legitimate purposes. Depending on the operation, processing is necessary to perform a contract, comply with a legal obligation, protect legitimate security interests, or act on your free, informed, specific and unambiguous consent.
- Create and secure the account; process, pay, deliver and follow up orders.
- Handle enquiries, quotations, after-sales support, warranties, returns and disputes.
- Issue accounting and tax documents and prevent fraud or system misuse.
- Send commercial communications only where the required consent has been obtained, with an unsubscribe option.
- Measure and improve shop performance using proportionate technical data.
4. Recipients and service providers
Access is limited to authorised Omega Smart Store staff and providers who need the data for payment, hosting, database services, delivery, customer support, security or audience measurement. Each provider acts under confidentiality and security obligations.
Omega Smart Store does not sell personal data. Data is disclosed to a public authority only where required by a valid legal obligation.
5. Retention periods
Data is kept only for as long as necessary for the stated purpose and for statutory accounting, tax, warranty, evidence or dispute periods. Contact requests that do not lead to a transaction are deleted or anonymised when they are no longer useful; inactive accounts and marketing preferences are reviewed periodically.
The detailed retention schedule is recorded internally and will be aligned with the standards and authorisations issued by the Cameroonian personal-data protection authority.
6. Your rights
- Receive clear information and obtain access to the personal data concerning you.
- Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data.
- Object to or request restriction of processing where the law permits.
- Withdraw consent at any time for future processing based on consent.
- Request erasure, cessation of dissemination or portability under the statutory conditions.
- Lodge a complaint with the competent Cameroonian personal-data protection authority.
Exercise a privacy right
Send your request to contact@omegasmartstore.cm. We may verify your identity and will respond within the period required by applicable law. Some data must remain archived to comply with a legal obligation or defend a legal claim.
7. Security and data breaches
Appropriate technical and organisational measures restrict access, protect transmissions, manage permissions, preserve backups and reduce the risk of loss, alteration or unauthorised disclosure. Providers are selected for sufficient security guarantees.
If a personal-data breach is identified, Omega Smart Store follows the applicable notification duties toward the authority and affected individuals without delay.
8. International transfers
Some hosting, payment or technical providers may process data outside Cameroon. Such transfers are assessed and framed in accordance with Cameroonian law, including applicable authorisation, adequacy and security requirements.
